Heated seats were available as options in Cadillacs as far back as 1968, possibly earlier.

Fold down writing tables? Yeeh, 1967 Fleetwoods had them (changed to small storage packs in 1968).

Rear footrests? Yup, my 1970 Fleetwood Brougham had those as well. I think all Fleetwood Broughams from 1966 thru 1976 had them. Only Fleetwood Broughams, not the Fleetwood 60 Special (which disappeared after 1970).

I remember seeing brochures on the Fleetwood Limited, i might have even saved one - somewhere. These were the best looking FWD full size Cadillacs ever (98-99 DeVilles were a close second). I might look for one - AFTER I find my 1992 Brougham with 5.7, d'elegance, tow package & factory CD player.

    Anyone got one for sale???

I remember seeing one on the showroom floor. Saw on on C-list a few weeks ago but it was pretty rough.

There is a '98 on Ebay right now. VIN ends in 550818. This car is interesting because it was sold from Medina, Ohio last October. It is now being sold from Norway. Current owner put less than 600 miles on it.

If it's rotting away it probably has blown head gaskets.

I still have my 98 ltd, bought it new, put 80,571 miles on it , no rust or dents. Only main problems I've had was with the wheel hubs, bearings . Does not burn oil. Anybody know where to buy parts for it? Market is slim, especially brake items, (drums and rotors). Car is Cotillon white with vinyl top. Rear window broke at one time, had to replace the whole top to get at it. Ins. covered it though. Runs strong.

Aren't all those parts you mentioned the same as for a Deville or Concours? i.e. rotors, bearings?

No. All '98s came with commercial chasis. All that stuff is extra heavy duty. Wheels are six lug.

Only aftermarket parts I've found are rotors and the price break was not much.

One week ago, I got caught in a hail storm outside of Marion, Ohio. Was driving my '99 (76k miles/non-commercial chasis). Hail was up to golf ball size. Cracked my windshield. Really dented up my hood and trunk lid plus a few dents on driver's side. Saw the Nationwide adjuster on Monday. Their system wrote the car up as a DeVille and wanted to total it out when damage reached $2700. My blood pressure quickly rose but the adjuster assured me my car was being fixed. Walked out with a check for $5k. Still have to see if my body guy agrees with that amount. After my car gets fixed, I'm getting a declared value policy since the gap between reality and what the insurance companies say is so large.

Just bought the last 2 front rotors (ATE) from Tire Rack for closeout special at $14 ea. Total $56 incl. shipping. What a deal! Also got 2 rear drums at Amazon, $90 ea. Also picked up rear hub and bearing. These are all new parts and very hard to find. This is the 3rd time for replacing the rear bearings. 98 Fleetwood Ltd. 86,574 miles on car. Anyone else have the bearing problem? Otherwise car runs great.
