    gmos-06 random unplugged harness

So i removed my aftermarket radio to solder all the connections for my aftermarket harness to my radio ( i just recently bought this deville and none of the wiring was done by my hand and if it was it would have been done right) and i found this 12 pin harness connected to the gmos-06 adapter with an 3.5m attached to it unplugged and nothing to plug it into, i looked up the manual and it says nothing about it. The guy i bought this car from should never EVER wire anything ever again and i know him pretty well and going to give him hell next time i see him for such a poor job on wiring everything.
Anyways can someone fill me in with what this is supposed to go to?

Hard to tell with all the wires bunched together, but it looks like it might be a plug for an external MP3 player.

I think the other silver box is a steering wheel control adapter.
