I'm the 2nd oldest (I guess) at 58. I was raised (by parents) on a continous flow of never ending Imperials. Until I was 22 I used (borrowed) Mom's car of the day. At 22 I bought a stunning 1968 Imperial Crown Convertible in a light soft green metallic, with a dark green genuine leather roof and dark green bucket seat interior. That was followed by a 1972 Imperial LeBaron 4-Door Hardtop (triple black), which was followed by a 1975 Imperial LeBaron "Crown" Coupe, Black-on-Black with Cranberry Velour interior. That was followed by a 1982 Bustle-Back Imperial in Bright Gold Metallic. That was my last Imperial. I then bought a 1986 Lincoln Mark 7 in special order paint, and a 1 off that became a show car, and was recently on e-bay 4-Sale at $18,000 ~ it was factory painted for my request in Playboy Pink. Had loads of fun with that car. Kept that one 7 years !!! Sold it for $1,000 less than I bought it for & ordered a 1993 Cadillac Sixty Special, another 1-off ! Midnight Purple with Snow White Leather. I still have it and it has 9,841 miles on it and is a show-car. Didn't wanna use it as a daily driver, and bought a 1998 Lincoln Mark 8. Loved it! Pearl White with Camel Tan leather. Did I say that I loved it? Sold it in 2003 for my current Lincoln Town Car Signature Premium Springtime "Feature" LIMITED-EDITION in Silver-Green. This one - so far - has been the best car I've ever owned, slightly edging out the 1975 Imperial by less than 1%. All of them have been great. No lemon in the bunch.
4 Imperials / 3 Lincolns & 1 Cadillac. But, for our 5th wedding anniversary I bought my wife a 1988 Sedan deVille ~ but I wasn't talking of her cars.....but I did drive that '88 once in a while.....(so, it's really 2 Cadillacs)
She also had a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix G.T.P. after the Caddy. All units were bought new. |

I drove it for several years with the trunk tied up and it was jokingly referred to as the "Seville". Finally had it towed away and got an 78 Oldsmobile 98 that I fell in love with.......never had another car like that one.......sad to say, i got hit and though it was fixed, was never the same. Went on to have kids and Minivans........missed my V8 "livingroom on wheels" though. Just picked up a 90 Deville last week.......woohoo
PS Just joined this site............my first post.........Hello Everyone! |

I'm 25 and driving caddy #2 99 delegance & #3 93 fleetwood brougham. It seems every 3 years some how I end up with a new caddy. #1 was a white and red 90 fleetwood sedan. Traded it for the 99 in 2002.
Due to the family using the 90 as the house taxi. I now have my older brother and mom riding around in their own caddys both on their 2nd. It's funny I'm the youngest customer at the caddy dealer near me mostly parts and repair. Hope'n someday it will be new caddys to. I do feel kinda funny getting called by the dealer about there latest traded in bougham's. Luckly for me it's only been a few. This is how i feel when have explain how I have 2 caddys. |
