I see you are in Maryland. It's a nice state! You are set now until late April of '06. So, by then the weather will nice again. Glad you are satisfied By the way, how does the price ofthe small sponge, roll of Viva (or Bountry) and the can of regular Pledge cost-wise, stack up against the Zaino? |

I don't have a can of Pledge yet, but when I look at the Household Products Database or the other cans of polish I have, I can't find any mention of aloe and vitamin e. The ingredients I find on the can or the msds make no mention of them. Where are these ingredients listed? Like I said, I don't have a can of Pledge yet. Is it listed on the can?
What about using cotton or terry clothes instead of paper towels? Those would seem softer.
I am not tryong to be difficult. Just some nice, honest questions before I engulf on this mission with my weapons of choice. |

Sandy, I've could have bought 12 bars of soap,6 rolls of paper towels 4 sponges & 3 cans of Pledge for what I spent in Zaino leather in a bottle and the cleaner. The results I have to say are better with the dove and sponge! Go figure! Not that I'm dismissing the Zaino but The proof is in the final results and the soap gave better results. |

My can of pledge doesnt have that in it either. I had great results from the dove thing, but resorted to my 5.00 bottle of meguires leather conditioner for the end result was beautiful.

No, the ingredients are not listed on the can. They were told to me by someone whose name Idon't recall on the Imperial Web Site.
Terry Cloth and cotton towels will have LINT on them, which will show up on dark(er) colored leathers such as Navy, Maroon and Black. Just get some Viva or Bounty. They have the highest content of cotton, are thick and are easy to work with, and mold or fold to the area being done. You can toss 'em away when done - don't have to machine wash, etc etc.....AND they have no lint ! |

You know...that crossed my mind. But then I was thinking it was a site pertaining to actual facts about the ingredients. I just wasn't thinking car club.
Thanks for the soap info. My seats are looking the best I have ever seen them. Now my wife wants me to do the Expedition. |

My Dove bar has been sitting in 12 oz. of water since Thursday night, and it's hardly dissolved at all. I can still read "Dove" on it.
I had wanted to do my car this weekend, but that's looking less likely given how slowly the soap is dissolving. Is there a way to speed up the process (like heating the water)? |

I took the bar out and placed it on the counter top and cut it like a tomato, in slices. There will be slimy stuff from where the water has soaked into it. I then placed the mixture and the slices in the blender as well as any slime you rubbed off. Put it on Liquefy and then on chop for a while until the chunks are dissolved. It didnt hurt my blender one bit and made a great consentiency to work with. Slice it thin like butter.

Blaze | Oh and you might want to add one ounce of water since its been so long sitting, some might have evaporated.

And boy, are my seats clean! It was hard to tell when I was doing it because it started getting dark, but I could see from the bucket of rinse water that I was getting out a lot of dirt. Went back this morning, and the interior (dark blue) is much brighter. Plus, it smells nice and clean, too.
Sandy, I'm going to pass on your advice to my friends who have leather in their cars. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
