    Hi everyone, i got a Cadillac deville DTS 2000 and i got a new problem since a couple of week, when i'm on park it doesnt want to shift to D or even Reverse it stay block for a couple of minute sometimes 10-15 before it get unlocked its really weird because i have no problem while driving or anything its knly when i'm on park that she block and its stressing me anyone have any idea?

    Hi! I got a Cadillac deville DTS 2000 and i started having problem shifting from park to drive or wathever. Its doesnt moove from park its totally blocked here i dont know why. When im driving the car is perfectly well and dont cause me any problem and the liquid transmission is ok too...

    Did you step on the brake when attempting to shift to/from Park ?

    Yeah of course but nothing work shes stay block even if u put the break or even the bigger break i dont know why...but its not all the time tho. And my transnission liquid is fine dont miss any.

    Do you hear a click when you step on the brake in park? If not, then your brake interlock solenoid is sticking.

    No i dont hear any click...is that really bad? What do i have to change or get fix?

    The stop lamp/brake interlock switch (#11) at the top of the brake pedal activates the brake interlock solenoid. It tends to fail before the solenoid does.
    #10 is the CC & TCC disengage switch

    So that means i have to make the switch check and change if need to? Is that a easy job not suppose to cost alot isnt it? If i understand the picture its rightbunder my wheel ?

    I had one of these fail on my 93 Deville. It was an easy fix. Good luck
