    Pop the fob apart again, and check for dirt between the rubber button pad and circuit board.

    Do you have another fob and does it work?
    The battery holders come loose and another part is know to work loose and needing soldering. Think maybe N*caddy had a post about them... I have soldered all mine I think at one time or another.

    The underside of the remote buttons have some kind of coating that works with the electrical contacts to make the button work. If your other buttons work, take a look at the underside of the button pad and note if that button is worn (looks different in any way compared to the other buttons...like maybe a very black center compared to the others). Might be able to get away with a replacement button pad...eBay has them for newer remotes with just the pad or a replacement shell (minus electrical bits).

    I was lookin on ebay while posting this and I saw a couple replacements , thx I think that's where I might have to look because that lil black button on the rubber pad appears to not be as full/depth as the other three!

    There is supposed to be a way to test a remote fob.

    ========================
    inspect the printed circuit board - with a magnifying glass -
    specifically the soldered joint for the UNLOCK button -

    these are "cold-soldered" joints -
    and if/when the solder joint cracks - that button will simply not work -
