Maybe, just maybe, a '94 Concours has an oil cooler. Do you see lines running to only one radiator side tank, or both side tanks? That would explain the coolant in the oil.

Boom and steam - look for a burst hose.

Re: 1994 deville concours coolant leak

Keep in mind that GM used Barsleaks sealant tabs back then and they made the coolant look muddy. If they have used continuously that could explain the coolant look. If not, maybe an oil cooler line in the radiator side tank ruptured. That would allow oil & coolant to mix in both the cooling system and the crankcase and could explain the high "oil" level.

Your car was made before DEX was introduced. Even after you drained it, there would have been some green coolant in the system. Is it muddy like a milkshake, or just not quite orange?

Re: 1994 deville concours coolant leak

Something is not right. If you just changed coolant and it's looking like "chocolate milk", it has to be mixing with oil or trans fluid and the only place it can be doing that is in one of the radiator side tanks. Seeing as your oil level is overfilled, I'd suspect the oil cooler in the right side tank.

okay from drivers seat view. the right side of radiator only has upper hose connected. left side radiator has the transmission hose connected to bottom and looks like it has 3 diff ones connected to top left side? none look damaged? as far as i can tell.. checked coolant and still looks brownish with white now? like hot cocoa

Re: 1994 deville concours coolant leak

If that's the only symptom I think I'd just replace the radiator, but be damned sure to drain and flush the crankcase several times. Coolant and bearings do not play well together.

Wait, you only have lines running to one radiator side tank? Not both?
