    Im at a standstill,4 dead coil-packs?? 99Deville

Well guys!!.I have a 99 Cadillac deville, that was a daily driver untill last Friday when it stalled as I was pulling out onto 59!. 20+re-start attempts later,we towed it home! Checked fuel pressure, battery V an ignition coils...An what do u know, coil-pack is dead!? It's getting input voltage just no HV output? An I doubt all four packs took a dump on me..so what sensor/sensors would cause this? Thanks

Built in scanner shows way more than hand helds except for very high end(Tech II) and the like.
Post any and all codes with definitions.

There is no such thing as a "coil pack". Chances of all 4 coils failing at the same time are just about nil. I'm with Rod. I'd suspect the ICM (it's what the 4 coils are mounted on).

I don't believe failed of either would cause a no start, a limp mode maybe and they will throw codes if the crap out completely. Have you pulled the codes??

Are your sure it has no spark?
You may want to check your injector fuse(s) first, if you didn't already.

I would check the wiring going to the ICM also carefully, there have been a couple issues with pins pulling out IIRC or just bad connections.(pins collapsed on one fellow and had to be opened up to make a connection)

There should be a ground attached to steel base were the coils sit. Just a suggestion.
