1999 Deville multiple misfires on #4 cylinder.

Hello, I have a 99 deville with multiple missfires on #4 cylinder. It has good spark and good compression. The injector looked like it may be clogged so I changed it. It still has multiple missfires. Not too sure where to go from here! It is also going from 194 degees to about 220 when sitting still. The electric fans are not kicking on. Just wondered if anyone has had this problem also. Thankyou for any help possible!

Probably have a bad coil or the plug is junk.
Fans won't come on until @228 with AC OFF IIRC.
If you turn AC on they both run slow speed.

With no A/C (compressor) function set, fans go to SLOW at 224 and FAST at 236. With some A/C function set, fans run in SLOW all the time.

The thermostat begins opening at 188 and is fully open at 206.

If fans go to SLOW the engine cools to 213, fans shut OFF, the (slow traffic/idle) sequence begins again.

    Normal.

Swap the offending coil with the one next to it, and see if the misfiring cylinder moves. Test the wires in the same way, too.

I would do as suggested and swap the coil over one and note if the misfire moves to the new cylinder. If misfire stays in the same cylinder, I would look at plug wires and boots. How many miles do you have? Those plug wires can crack down in the boot area and "leak" a spark to the engine block instead of the plug getting the charge. If you have a lot of miles, I would suggest new plug wires.

99 deville multiple missfires on #4 cylinder

Hi. I have a 99 deville with multiple missfires on #4 cylinder. It has spark and good compression. The injector looked like it may have some gunk in it so I changed it. It still has the missfire. I'm not sure where to go next with this! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Thank you very much for the help everyone! I really appreciate it. I will try swapping coils. 99 Classillac, it has 51,000 miles. basscatt, I posted the first question but couldn't find it for some reason so I wasn't sure if it worked so I just posted again.
