Either way, if you've only had the car a week, it might be worth taking back where you got it and telling them the problem and ask them to at least stand behind it that far.
This is not an expensive repair. However, before whipping out the wallet, http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...-how-do-i.html (Tire Pressure Monitor - how do I know when a sensor has failed?) will tell you how to reset everything. This really may be all you need.
Here's a link to an OEM Schrader for $62. http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/bi...ressure+Sensor

Is this a module that I can replace myself rather than paying the dealer to do it?
| It is attached to the valve stem. One tire bead has to be broken to R & R it. |

Alignment
Fine tune balance
Best first place to start is to fine a Road-Force balancer that knows how the use the system [not an easy task].
Last but most accurate solution - find a dinosaur that still spin balances on the car. And once you find him - never let him go. |

Great Car, I love it
What I replaced:
1) Front Motor Mount
2) Driver's lumbar motor (auto massage did not work)
3) Both front seat lumbar switch plates ($50.00 p&l)
4) RF fog light bulb / both license plate lights bulbs
5) 1 TPM sensor
6) Coolant with Dex-Cool & distilled water
7) Tires - originals (Michelin) were pretty worn at only 23K miles
Previous owner: (religiously maintained by Cadillac dealer)
1) Crank Sensors
2) Driver's seat belt
3) RR rotor
Bought it from a Lexus dealer and got the Lexus Extra Care Gold warranty (4/48), which covered the motor mount and lumbar motor (about 1/2 the cost of warranty).
Everything works, no leaks, no shakes, no rattles just an awesome car. I am very impressed, even the DIC info is accurate (MPG, Gallons Used, Tire pressure) - and I personally like the interior quality, especially the analog / digital dash, seats and wood trim.
IMHO the original MSRP was too high (51K), but for less than 20K lightly used including a good warranty, this American luxury beast is a great value !! |

Stilll ould not trade it for the world.

Now the strange intermittent things, 3 times, it has lost memory on the steering wheel position, I can't get it to set correctly to the drivers side view mirror, and had my Radio lock me out asking for a code (which I DONT have). ran the code on that and said "lost communication" after I bought the car, had bad grinding sound from drivers front brake. Pulled it all apart and brakes were 90% cleaned it up and now the grinding comes and goes (only when braking) oh, and this is fun the other day while making a right hand turn my car stopped me! it said stability engaged and made me come to complete stop. I'm gonna run the code, since I do have the warning light on that anyway... oh here's a funny one for you all. took it in for an oil change last month, I knew it was over a qt low but that's why I took it in. well any way they refused to change the oil, they said it was low, and the engine's making low end noise. (remember just I changed the AC compressor) I said let me hear it. when they started the car, I said "how can you hear engine noise over that LOUD compressor?" I turned off the AC and the tech was speachless as we listened to my baby PURR like a kitten. |

-window regulators
-driver door module
-ground wire
-ignition switch
-fuel gauge goes to full when there's about 100 miles left. any ideas on that?
-motor is money...
-expensive maintenance (mechanic: "its a cadi.")
-front wheel hub assemblies (both sides), which meant new brakes and rotors.
