    1996 deville tires

I am in the market for a new set of tires for my deville. I have found a good deal on some kumho solus tires and have never used them before. Just wanted to see if anyone here had, and what they thought of them. any other good suggestions on tires would be appreciated.

I am not trying to go cheap I have always been a Michelin man for my tires but the two styles available for my car, the defender and symmetry both have pretty bad reviews so I figured I would come on here for some ideas.

I don't put much stock in tire reviews. They seem to be all over the place. Pick any tire and it seems that one guy swears BY it while the next swear AT it. How can any one tire get such diametrically opposed reviews.

That said, I just replaced my OEM Michelin Symmetry's with another set. They had 98K on them. Can't complain about that.

Don't know a thing about Kumho.

Not to be an iconoclast--I have used Michelins satisfactorily for years--but I have also used Kuhmos on several cars with good results. My daughter's BMW took some oddball size and the only snow-rated tires I could find were Kuhmo, and they worked fine. She has gone through two sets at about 35-40K miles per. Have also put Kuhmos on a couple trucks that employees drive and they held up as good as the Michelins I tried, and at half the price. Bottom, line, I would not hesitate to use them.

Thanks bass and ranger. I don't take reviews as gospel I just found it odd that the only place I could find that had better than 3 of 5 stars was the Michelin site, surprise. Like I said I have run nothing but the Michelin LTX M/S on my work vans and the latitudes on the SUV and love them. When I got this caddy I don't recall what kind of tires it had but about 5 years ago I got a set of cooper tires for free and they were fine. But I always get the best info here.

Saving some money while getting one of the best tires possible was important to me. I took a chance on a brand that was new to me and so far these tires have rode very nice for me: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...all-tires.html
