    Are you using original or copied CD's? I've had trouble with some copies.

    I am having an issue with both types, It plays a burned CD every other week and it play it until you eject it or it decides it doesn't like it
    no more. But now it just say "CD ERROR" for any disc

    you could easily add the factory 6-disc CD player in the glove box -
    the wiring harness is already there - it would be a simple PLUG-N-PLAY -
