I have a 2000 Deville with a blown head gasket but with 4 new 225x60x16 rims&tires that don't leak air that I would like to put on my 2005 Deville DTS that has 4 bald 235x55x17 rims&tires that have many chrome-plated air leaks. I calculated that the tires have a smaller diameter and revolve 15 more times per mile so speedometer will be off a little. I also know tpms won't work until I add wheel sensors. Are there any concerns, like sensors for Stabilitrak, CVRSS, ABS, ...?

I just bought the '05 knowing rims were leaking and knowing I had 8 good Deville rims and tires at home waiting to be put on something. I have never had luck with chrome plated aluminum wheels as the chrome chips off from the back side. The 2k had original non-chrome plated wheels, not as fancy looking but don't leak air.

Well I finally put the 225x60x16ers on my 2005DTS. A much cushier ride than the 235x55x17ers it came with. I wouldn't have believed that small difference in profile would be noticeable. I love the cushy ride, the whole reason I drive a caddy. When I want a rough ride, I drive my vette.

and yet the "kids" will TRY to convince us
that the 30 series tires on a 20" wheel ride just as nice - ya right -
