It is straight forward. Drop the pan (it's very messy). Start at one corner and remove the bolts from there in both directions so as the pan lowers it will somewhat funnel the fluid into your drain pan. The if I remember correctly, the filter just pulls out. Check to be sure that the O ring comes with it or if it doesn't, don't put another one in. The gasket is reusable.

Not an oring. There is a metal sleeve with a rubber seal where the filter slides up into the transmission. Just make sure that sleeve does not come out with the filter. The gasket is reusable but over time they get seperation of the rubber from the metal core. Look it over real close before you put it back on. I like a clean dry transmission so I always replace the gasket, expensive but just me.

Gaskets are cheap, even tho they are reusable I always replace it if it's been on there a long time.
I usually leave the filter seal alone unless it just pops out easily or is damaged. I can't remember if there is any screws holding the filter but you'll see them if there are.

Oops, I stand corrected. Thanks Dennis. It's been some time since I've been under a 4T60E.
