So, he was willing to let you do it pre sale? For approximately $35 for the test kit and fluid, I would have done it. If he is still willing, go do it. Will put your mind at ease. It's easy. When I bought my 02 DTS, the guys on here walked me through it and the private seller was more than willing to let me do it.

That said, I like the 02 DHS with 83K better. JMO

The pearl 2002 DHS pictured above is parked in front of my barn! It's temp needle pretty much stays in the middle even if you open it up, driving on flat terrain or hilly. The only time it ran a slight tick past which showed 219 on my scan tool was in stop and go traffic. The car was completely cool so I was able to examine a complete drive cycle and found no current or past codes. Cosmetically the car is in near mint condition sans for foggy headlights for me to resurface and the passenger rocker molding needs a couple of clips. I got the car for $4100. Shopping for this car has been an interesting learning experience as well. Now I can't wait to clean it up a bit

I will definitely be posting some. Oh I forgot to mention it came with a 3 month/4500 mile warranty and NOT from Penn Warranty

So I must ask, what is the correct abbreviation? Is it Cadi or Caddy?

"Cadi" is the abbreviation, how it's probably written on your registration and/or insurance paperwork. The word you're looking for is "Caddy".
