99 Deville Drivers Window Wont Move

Hello all, my wife drove her 99 Deville today and had no problem with the drivers front window until she was on her way home. It rolled down and up a few times without issue but the last time she tried to roll it down it wouldnt go. There is no motor noise at all. The other three windows work ok. I searched for previous threads on the issue and read information about a bad master switch but wouldnt this affect the other windows also?

I found this nice link on youtube about removing the switch panel & door panel - thought I would share it.

I can remove the switch panel, what then? First thing will be to verify that all switches are connected. Then I can check for B+ at the drivers window switch. Anything else?

The master switch has 4 separate switches in it and only 1 could have failed. Pull the switch and jump the wires to the problem connector. If it still does not work, then it's probably the motor or the regulator.

Very common failure, both of mine were bad when I got them.
