    Need some direction

Hi guys I've got an 1994 Cadillac Deville with 132,000 miles and last week the gas pedal started pulsating when I turned off the ignition. I visually saw that the Idle Speed Control moving in and out. So I just replaced it and I still have the same problem. I'm going to go to my last resort of disconnecting the battery for a day to see if I can't manually reset the computer. But wondering what to do if that doesn't work. Please help she's been a great car for me. Been so happy with her I went out a bought a 1995 Cadillac Deville.

They're going to ask you if you've pulled the codes, what they are and their definitions. (^Sticky^)

    Re: Need some direction

I am not sure, but I think it is just setting itself up for the next start. I remember my '92 doing that and it never gave me any problems. Unless you are having an idle problem, I wouldn't worry about it.

I suspect a problem with the TPS - Throttle Position Sensor -
either out of adjustment - or defective -

    Re: Need some direction

The ISC needs to be adjusted once installed. It must be retracted thru on board diagnostics then a measured clearance is set by screwing in the nose switch shaft. That why you need a factory manual! The ISC should only extend just prior to start up and retract as the car is shut off.
