Question How to remove headlight switch? 1994 Deville

I'm troubleshooting a no headlight problem and need to check the wiring at the switch.

I can't find any information on how to remove the switch.

I need someone with experience to assist by talking me through it?

the headlight switch is RARELY the problem -

before you rip into the dash -
you need to check everything else out -
    --------------

under the hood you will see a couple fuse boxes -

one is the "regular" fuse box - you will see 5 fuses for the headlights -

check the HDLPS fuse - that one powers the relay - dimmer switch etc -
the other 4 fuses are for the 4 various headlights -
    -----------
the other fuse box has maxi-fuses and relays -

check the "D" relay- that is the headlights relay -

It's the switch that is the problem. The neighbor has GM service experience and got it out for me and confirmed my suspicion. Now I wonder if there is any replacement for the headlight switch and dimmer rather than the entire module.

One fuse box under the hood, driver's side
Other fuse box in the trunk, driver's side, panel in the sidewall
Maxifuses are located right next to the fuses in the first box (engine). You'll have to remove the entire cover, not just the hinged access panel, to get to them.

Re: How to remove headlight switch? 1994 Deville

And do any of the maxi fuses control headlights?

My issues that i'm trying to resolve are
    1)blinking e fuel gauge
    2) fuel door/trunk button release doesn't work (and the button in the glove box is in the correct position)
    3) headlight chime wont turn off when i manually turn on the headlights
    4) twilight sentinel doesn't work

if anything i want my gas gauge to work and the headlight chime to go away when i turn on the lights manually
