Just Replaced TCC Solenoid and now the Service Transmission statement is coming up

    Hello Everyone...
I am truly grateful for all of the contributors to this forum, your information is very much appreciated. Anyhow, my dilemma is with the P0741 & P1860 codes. I'll admit that I didn't fully research the issue prior to replacing the TCC solenoid. The car ran fine until the little (and I mean little) Transmission Main Shaft Retainer broke. I had a mechanic replace the retainer, filters, and pan gasket. So, I just asked him to change the TCC solenoid since the code stated that I needed to replace it.
Everything's replaced, fluid replaced, and the car's on the road. However, the transmission is slipping and the "Service Transmission" statement so showing on the Information Center. I read some post about this issue and what it sounds like to me is that I may need to replace some seals and/or the torque converter itself. I really need some clarity pertaining to this issue, please.

What "current" codes do you have right now? Is SES light on?

P0741 and/or P1860 will only set the SES light, not the "service transmission" warning.

I think what you read is referring to the P0741 code alone. That is a leaky internal seal that allows a 100-300 RPM TC slippage. It's imperceptible. You have a different problem.
