Need help with TPS adjustment 1995 Sedan Deville.

Can someone explain to me how to adjust my TPS sensor please? I do not think my car is shifting at the right RPM's after riding in my friends 95. I do not have a book and I would like to get it adjusted in the morning. I have no dtc codes but the car just does not shift into 4th until 45 MPH or higher and seems way to long to go into lockup. My friends car shifts right through the gears but not sure of the lockup as we do not have his DIC set up with a tachometer, but feels like it goes into lockup as it should. Thanks for your help guys I find this forum very helpful.

Before messing around with it follow the instructions in the manual to confirm it's adjusted properly to begin with. It says what section of the onboard diagnostics to check and what numbers you should see. If it's not adjusted properly it'll cause other problems.

I unfortunately do not have a shop manual yet do you by any chance know the numbers? Thanks.

These are the instructions I found. Mine reads _.2 negative in my car.

Loosen the two torx T-25 screws holding the TPS in place just enough so you can rotate it a bit but not so much that it can move by itself. That's why it has those elongated slots for the screws to provide for adjustment. Rotate it just enough to get a decent idle if you are having a problem.
There is a loose wire with a green connector near the alternator and near where the ISC harness plugs into the main wiring harness. Ground that connector to the engine block with another length of wire. I use a short length of wire with alligator clips on both ends
From the driver's seat start the engine. You will see on the display a Battery No Charge message. That's good because it means you grounded the alternator correctly. Get into diagnostics by simultaneously pressing and holding the OFF and Warmer buttons until the dash starts displaying codes. Then release. When PCM? comes up press the fan up button once. Then press the fan down button until you see PCM OVERRIDE. Press the up button again until you get to PS03. Now hold down the cooler button for about 10 seconds or so. The idle will slow because the computer is shutting off the idle speed control motor.
Leaving the engine running, open the hood and disconnect the wiring harness that goes to the idle control motor. The ISC motor is now locked in the off mode.
Back in the car, press the OFF button. Now press the fan down button until you get to PCM DATA. Press the fan up button. You should be at PD01. Note the reading on the panel just to the left of PD01. It should be somewhere between -0.5 to +0.5, ideally 0. If the reading is not right, very carefully and slowly rotate the TPS a tiny bit one way or the other until it is. Someone in the seat reading the numbers while you adjust is a big help. Retighten the screws. Recheck the reading to make sure the TPS didn't move during tightening.
Shut down, remove the alternator ground and reconnect the ISC harness.
    That should do it.

BEFORE any TPS adjustment, have someone adjust the TV cable from the throttle body to the transmission!! Adjusted too short will cause delayed upshifting. Its a 5 min job at any trans shop.

Carnut, 95's don't have a TV cable. They lost that when they went electronic.

Uh yeah, was 90 the first for pfi? Could have been 90. Been away from Cadillacs for awhile and can't remember.

Yes, '90 was the first year for PFI.

My mothers '90 Seville did not have an electronically controlled transmission, must have been'91 then.
