    1995 deville w 4.9L 4T60E trans downshifting problems

I have a 1995 Deville, 150k miles just started having downshifting issues with the transmission. When downshifting from 2nd to 1st, at around 15-11 mph it will clunk extremely hard causing the vehicle to shake. Transmission fluid has been changed. There were no metal shavings in the pan. There are no ODBI codes for this. Any ideas?

Check your vacuum modulator, and the vacuum line going to it. If the line and the hose fittings are ok, unplug it and spin it so the modulator points down. If anything leaks out of the port the modulator is bad.
