Use the proper year group instructions in the sticky post just above this thread (How to pull codes) to get any diagnostic codes from your car's built-in scanner/reader. Write down all codes found, return to the sticky to get to the link to code definitions. Write it all down and post it all here - as well as whether each code is Current or History.

You might want to read all the sticky posts in any forum of interest - they're there because they're timeless ........

Struts in front, shocks in back - and those shocks incorporate an air bladder for rear height control - the air bladders are NOT "air ride" - they're height control.

Several things can cause the message, you'll have to pull your codes. Go to the top of the FWD Deville/Fleetwood page, and read the "sticky" thread on how to pull codes. List any codes you find, AND THEIR DEFINITIONS, here (there's a link within the description with code definitions). Being a '96, your codes may be a combination of OBD I and OBD II codes.

    Oops, sub beat me.
