    Looks like I'm getting a '92 Fleetwood...

My '06 Grand Prix will be for sale next week and my '91 STS will hopefully be for sale by the end of the month. So, that will leave me with my '87 Maxima wagon. It's a decent little car, emphasis on little. I've said to people I know that I wanted one more boat. And while not a proper body-on-frame RWD, I saw this '92 Fleetwood for sale the next town over. Drove it, fell it love, and I believe the size will be "sufficient." Got it inspected today, no deal breakers and the dealer will fix the couple things I want done for the price I want to pay. Super clean, 108K, runs good and tranny shifts as it should, minimal leaks. It'll need the usual tune-up stuff and tranny cooler lines replaced at some point but I should be able to do that at my leisure this fall. Struts/brakes were done previously so those will be good for awhile. Fingers crossed!

For the money, I think it's a good car. There's a lot of near-junk or needs-lotsa-work in the $3-4K range around here and this was one of the best cars I could find locally. Been lurking on here researching the older C-bodies the past few weeks so I think I have a handle on what I can expect.

When I was driving it to the shop for the inspection (about 10 mile highway drive), some dude in an older XJR or XJ8 Sport was checking it out and trying to bait me into a race. I knew he'd beat me regardless and didn't bother but I was totally surprised by that and a few other looks...guess this car isn't completely anonymous!

Very nice looking car. I'm sure you won't ride in any of your friend's cars that will ride better than your Fleetwood. Whenever I catch a ride with a friend in any newer car I am very much unimpressed.
