    1999 Deville headlight swap to a 1995???

Has anyone done a headlight swap from a 99 Deville to a 95? I found the lights in the yard and I would really like to put them in my 95. The look a little different but does not look to hard to do. Thanks

    They're a different shape IIRC.

I don't think it will work.
It definitely won't be a direct swap.

It looks like they will bolt in but it is a different shape were they fit against the grille. It also looks like the side lights are shorter so I would have to use the lights off of the 95. I would like to do H.I.D lights on my car and have the updated lights to go with it.

Unless you do a projector conversion, installing HIDs would be illegal, put less usable light on the road, and cause glare for other drivers.

    --------------------------------
whether you use the 95 headlights -
or somehow use 99 headlights -
they are both REFLECTOR type headlights -

HID lights are illegal to install in REFLECTOR type housings -

YES - they are brighter -
but will actually put LESS useable light on the road -
and will blind oncoming traffic -

if you would like additional information WHY this is true -
and WHY there is no way to correct the problem -
    I can provide a complete description -
