03 DeVille Base Rear windows inop after replacing both regulators and motor

    Hello Fokes,
My mother dropped this POS 2004 Cadi Deville in my lap after her "so called mechanic some late 70 year old man" told her she needed new window regulators
due to the windows going down and staying down. So as her son I am a Tech for pepboys an i have searched alldata and i am not finding any luck with this.

So i replace both regulators with motors and while testing the window went up then down then dead. now i am dead at the Main switch also.
from what a buddy that works at a cadi dealer in VB said it sounds like the door control module now. I am not stupid an i know that electronics can fail with the slightest
    thing.

Has anyone seen this when i connect my Versus Pro. there is no DTC listed only in Airbag. and thats due to a cracked wire in the front of the car from hitting a deer this past xmas. I am at my whits end . you got any help please advise.

    Thanks in advance
    Ric Mir

ok right about now i want to throw my 8500 $$ Verasus Pro across my shop. ok i have a TON of Codes. the one that makes the most sense to me is .

DIM U1064 Loss of communication to DIMM
DIM U1301 Class 2 Short to ground.
ABS U1301 Class 2 Short to ground
Why wouldn't my Verasus see these

Wow wicked. so what its saying is the car has a bad ground somewhere. ?

Because most aftermarket code readers only read PCM codes, not B (body), C (chassis) and U (network) codes, although for $8500 I would expect it to do that and a LOT more.

"U" codes come and go regularly -

for the most part - they are a momentary "hick-up" -
in the data line - and can be ignored -

these are NOT your problem -

as I said earlier - inspect the wiring harness from the door to the door pillar -

Think I fight have figureded this out. There is a bad grou d some where at the switch come out of the door control module. I am not getting a steady 12.2. Volts. I am thinking door contold module has come bad. Down side looking over 100.00 to even test the theory. But moving up on step at a time. I did test both motors from a 12v craftsman power drill battery an the motor words great.

    Will keep my findings posted.

doubtful - if the Driver Door Module was bad -
you would get DDM related codes -
