    2005 deville keeps blowing coil fuse

    Hello, im new to this forum, and have a problem with 2005 deville. I was trying to replace the front trans mount on sunday but didnt have the time needed, but i did try lifting the engine but realized i was gonna get this done quickly, do i bolted the old mount back up and let my son use it to go to work, on his lunch break he went to mcdonalds and it stopped on him, next morning i gi look at it and notice the coil fuse is blown, so i replaced it the car stared right and in less than a second it blew, and the next one after that also, some one told me i may have screwed up a ground or something, i have no idea ehere these are located please help! Thank you.

    The mount you tried to replace was at the front of the motor or the side of the motor?

    How did you try lifting the engine and from where?

    Maybe you pinched a wire somewhere when you lifted and relowered the engine.

    The mount is bolted to the cradle up front behind the bumper

    Tried lifting with scissor jack under the square black plate the protects the exhaust y pipe

    So,

    The front motor mount was attempted to be roplaced and you lifted at the crossover plate, correct?

    I'd first inspect the grounds at the bell housing where the motor meets the transmission at the front of the car.

    In reality, the grounds aren't the issue. If you're blowing a fuse, you are grounding a power wire. That's the purpose of the fuse to protect the circuit from harm when grounded.

    What number fuses keep blowing in the fuse box?
