    Cruise control

    2003 deville. Cruise is inop , if push the button on steering wheel the orange light on button comes on but ' cruise' light on cluster does not light up . Checked fuse and it is OK . Maybe switch over the stop lamp switch ?? Any thoughts ?

    I assume you know the cruise light on the cluster only comes on when the cruise is set and being used. It won't come on with the orange button light.

    I think we all know the P0741 Code tho...

    Seems to be the Gremlin in all the Deville transmissions.

    B0249- temp control rear circuit range/performance

    B2365- driver rear vertical sensor malfunction

    P0741- tcc system stuck off

    P1617- engine oil level switch circuit

    U1305- class II data link shorted

    B0058- RF/ passenger pretensioner deployment loop open

    I would suspect the CC module -

    Your Cruise Control. It a black box mounted on the left strut tower with a cable coming out of it and going to the throttle.
