Hi,96 deville,ran codes & got IP2711,no idea what it is! lol Its my understanding that IP's are dash display? Is this correct? Also while in this mode there seems to be a lot of information as well as some options....anybody familiar with this? Thanks

IP = Instrument panel.
IP2711 is not a DTC. Might be a B2711 (B=Body code)? Always include the code definitions along with the codes. No one has them memorized.
'96 was the start of OBDI, but most '96 models have a combination of OBDI & OBDII so any code definitions You do not find in the OBDII link will be in the OBDI link. You may also be able to go into data, parameter and override modes, but I wouldn't go there if you do not have a FSM and know what you are doing.

Check Ebay. DO NOT buy Chiltons or Haynes. You want a FSM by Helm Inc. Nothing else.
