    Steering positioning sensor jumper

Does anyone know if you can just jumper out the steering positioning sensors? I am sick of getting the SERVICE STABILITY SYSTEM MESSAGE every time I drive it.

    Re: Steering positioning sensor jumper

Nope - it's part of several steering, suspension, and powertrain control systems - especially in your car model and moreso in the DTS.

A problem with replacement is that there are 3 types - you need to know which one is in there before you order a new one, and the labor is pretty intense - with several special procedures involved - do NOT turn the steering wheel with the column disconnected - several thin wires and a clockspring conductor in the steering column tend to break if stressed ............

Ok thanks. It sounds like I will just keep clearing the SERVICE STABILITY SYSTEM message every time I drive it. Maybe this winter I will look into it again. thanks
