I agree the HF set iss el cheapo & aluminum. I took a look and they do not have a quality feel.
For @55 I got set of brass of ebay(same brand many have recomended here) and they are very nice.

aluminum is OK - for a DIYer -
brass is used on the better sets - and is usually a lot more expensive -

my point was why not spend $3 more than the harbor freight set -
and get a higher quality brass manifold based set -

Nothing goes right when I need it to

They sent me these small 12" fans instead of the 16"

These things don't look like they would even begin to do the job

    This jus isn't my month

correct me if I'm wrong -
but THEY sent what YOU ordered -
    -------------------

there is an ART to ordering and pricing parts -
that I am now willing to share with you -

what I would recommend for you -

    go to rockauto.com -

    look up your car -

find the correct section for electric cooling fans -

copy down the OEM numbers -
make a note whether they are listed as RIGHT SIDE - or LEFT SIDE -
or possibly RADIATOR FAN or CONDENSER FAN - you get the idea -

TYC - Four Seasons - Doorman - are all good aftermarket parts -
so also copy those part numbers - and note the prices -

now do a search for those brands and part numbers -
and compare prices - with shipping -

I don't have to worry about shipping but I would spend an extra $10 or more for a good set. I guess I never thought to get ebay but I haven't been real serious about buying any yet.

I know what you mean about the quality, it's like getting a cheap tire gage, use it twice and it won't go to zero.

I know all you guys are trying to help out this poor soul but I can't help thinking this is a lot like the Seinfeld soup nazi episode. I doubt there's anyone here who is a true professional and knows everything (about everything) so lets all band together and try to give him some good old constructive advise without chastising him. Just by reading his posts he is obviously frustrated so why add to this by lecturing him like a father does a five year when he catches him with his hand in the proverbial cookie jar. Just saying guys we come to this site to share our knowledge, experiences so lets ease up on the attitude. Thank you for reading this.

Most people giving him advice are professionals. We know him through other questions he has asked and helped him out. He has no issues with the help he's been given so why should you. As far as I can see your post is the only one with attitude.

WHOOA THERE SPARKY - ARE YOU SERIOUS?

there are SEVERAL TRUE PROFESSIONALS here -

I personally spent 30+ years working on cars - PROFESSIONALLY -

YES - ASE Certified Master Mechanic -

does that qualify ME as a "TRUE PROFESSIONAL" in YOUR opinion?
    --------------------

I will just excuse the rest of your rant - and call it "being uninformed"

Deeply appreciate your concern and positive affirmations

But every one these guys (most of'm) have been working with me for sometime , most well over a year now and though I do not know them personally, I know them well enough thru this forum to know these guys are professionals... and im pretty good at discerning the correct answer to my questions, tho I can be a bit hard headed, and slow at times... they've directed me without incident since the day I joined this forum

Some responses may be perceived to be given with attitude but I don't give it much thought in that light...

If anything, ive given these guys more attitude in the past year than any one person should endure in a lifetime, yet, theyre still there for me when I need them or when I ask some of the most ridiculous questions one has no decent reason to respond to... but they do anyways

Yes, I'm deeply frustrated and stressed about the issues I'm having, but...

You obviously missed my point... yes you may be professional mechanics with years of experience but the point I was trying to get across was not everyone knows everything about everything and so in that vein we should offer our assistance graciously. I'm a police officer with over 20 years of federal law enforcement experience and while I may be a "professional" in that field, I would never suggest that I know everything about everything. Obviously, in my attempt to a kinder gentler forum I ruffled a few feathers and for that and only that, I apologize.

    Apologies not necessary...
    Again, thanks for your consideration
    Very much appreciated
