    Stabilizer Bar Bushings

Next project, chasing the squeak to the stabilizer (sway) bar. Does one need to remove the sway bar and slide new bushings over the bar, or are the bushings two piece that can be installed with the bar in place? I've looked at the online auto parts suppliers and can't tell from the pictures. They also have many different bushing diameters listed for my car. I would have thought that the sway bar would be a universal size for all 1998 Deville Councours. I guess I'll measure to be sure prior to ordering. Thanks in advance for the help!

There are 2 different sized bars on deville's, so yes measure first.
They do slide onto the bar(one piece EOM anyways). I had on side bracket off on drivers side to check the bushing and it was too hard, not much room I needed a racheting box wrench.

Both deville and concours are supposed to use the same bushing for that year. The ones you get from GM are one piece with a slit in it so so you can pop it on over the bar.

You're welcome. Be ready for a lot of wrenching, the bolts that hold the brackets on are long.
