    Silica gel replacement

98 Deville...It looks like a major job to get the elc to come out in order to change the silica gel dryer. I would assume it needs replacing in a 15 yr old car (right ?) By major job I mean like everything on these Caddies space to work on them is very limited. Or am I wrong here. The elc is working perfect just wanted to do some preventative maint.
I know "If it aint broke fix it till it is
    Thanks"

    Re: Silica gel replacement

I don't think they are meant to be serviced. I have never changed the silica dryer and have yet to have an ELC failure in any car over many years, knock on wood Personally, I'd take the "If it aint broke fix it" approach, but that's your choice.
