    2000 Deville just dies

I have a 2000 Deville, base, with around 100k miles. The car has recently just started to die when I drive it. I took the car to an indie and he diagnosed the MAF sensor as being bad....had him replace it. All seemed good till a week later...the car died again. Back to the repair shop and this time he replaced the fuel pump. This was about three days ago. Yesterday, the car almost died again. Most of the time the car starts back up fairly quickly, but sometimes I've had to let it sit for an hour or so. Anyone have any ideas?

Pull your Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) & come back & post them along with definitions. See these instructions:

Easter egging parts will never fix one of these cars. I doubt that the fuel pump OR MAF was faulty.

Use the sticky post just above this - "How to pull codes" - if there's a fault serious enough to cause stalls, it will set diagnostic codes in your car's built-in code reader/scanner/memory system.

    I'll guess code(s) P 0335 and/or P 0336, P 0385 and/or P 0386.

I'd put my money on the CKP sensors as well.

You need a new "mechanic". This guy is just throwing parts at it hoping one will stick.....................at your expense.
