    it seems that noisy water pumps aren't common but it does happen.

    For anyone wondering why it's a good idea to change your WP belt and tensioner pulley....



    That is a textbook indicator of a worn belt. Cracked ribs.



    And THAT is a WP tensioner pulley that has seen better days. After 76,524 miles, it's all used up!!

    Nothing wrong with that belt. Those cracks are normal. Read the FSM. The pulley bearing is another story.

    Yep - cracking (high mileage belt) is pretty normal - "chunking" is not.

    Right on same goes for any vehicle including RV's Low mileage on an older car is not good.Dried out seals etc....
