    Anyone hear of the Cadillacdoctor.com

I have a 98 Cadillac Deville with 185km on it an of course its over heating and loosing coolant quickly. It lasts for about an hour before I need to shut it off. Ive been doing research for shops that will fix my engine and many turn me away or give me a crazy price of 3000. This car is in mint condition inside and out. Had to sell it for scraps.

Im located in Ottawa, Canada and this guy @ cadillacdoctor.com is the closest place to me with such a great credit and does an extensive rebuild for 1500!. Check out the website.

If anyone knows of a place in Toronto or near Ottawa that knows what they are doing and are priced reasonably please let me know.

Car has been sitting for months and ill like to get it back on the road.

    Thanks

Their description of thread repair describes drilling and tapping the bolt holes, and using head BOLTS, no mention of inserts or studs. The engine pictured on the site is studded, and they mention a jig, which suggests Jakes studs, but .

    anyone.....

Curious as to what other people do once they experience head gasket problems. If this car has low mileage and is mint inside and out do you sell for parts or invest to rebuild the engine?

has the problem even been properly diagnosed yet?

If it is an HG issue, and if YOU want to keep the car, the block needs to be inserted or studded, those are the only options.

Did you click on the link I posted?

They find a competent mechanic that is familiar with the Northstar and is not afraid of it. While it is not a push rod engine, it is also not rocket science. The biggest drawback is that the drivetrain needs to be removed.
