    1) First tell us make and model of car.
    2) Then do an internet search for you'r codes and post back with code meanings.
    3) tell us your car issues.

    Re: Codes

sorry about that,, I have a 2000 Cadillac deville base model. amunderdog pointed out what the codes are, but the other day I noticed I rough idle when in park neutral or in gear obviously stopped, just thought it was weird since it never did it before. I just need to know what are the best options to go forth on fixing these codes.

    Re: Codes

    A 2000+ engine with a P0171 & P0174 code points to a ripped plenum duct (vacuum leak).

As well as that PVC hose that runs into the manifold. Someone just last week had that problem

    Re: Codes

Ranger and Caddy-EaRL are right on the money -

BOTH the plenum boot and the elbows of the PCV hoses
are PRIME sources for vacuum leaks -

the P0335 is also a common problem in the pre 2003 Deville -
the upper and lower crankshaft position sensors that were black and tan -
made in Mexico are known to go bad -

the new ones are gray and black - made in Japan -
here is what you need - and the best place to buy the parts -

    ACDelco 213-1578 - $37.97 - with free shipping -
    from amazon.com -
    and -
    ACDelco 213-1579 - $43.70 - with free shipping -
    also from amazon.com

    Re: Codes

Yeah, forgot about the CKP code. ALL 2000-2003's will eventually need them replaced. Did mine last summer. ALWAYS replace BOTH.

99.99% of the time - re-learn is NOT necessary -
