Man, you must be new here, I don't think I have ever heard someone here recommend a mechanic!

Sounds like some fairly minor issues and mean you probably found a good car.

The interior lights will only work when dark outside, there is a flat round sensor middle of dash grille.
Try them at night and if they only work if you turn them on manually, either the sensor is bad or BCM. Weds updating. Mine would on,y come on when door was closed.

That's exactly where the leak was. Pressurized the system with 60# nitrogen, bubbles around the compressor seams.
What replacement compressor do you recommend?

I got a compressor from Arizona Mobile Air, I think it was a Delphi, along with a new accumulator/dryer. I like them for most all my a/c parts www.ackits.com. Just stay away from 4-Seasons at auto part stores and you'll be fine. I would also change the orifice tube. Be careful--on my Eldo I was sold a white (0.072") orifice, which is incorrect. My car used a yellow (let's say it was beige) 0.062" orifice, and made a huge difference in idle performance. Can't tell the color difference unless you have both pieces next to each other. I would change that, evacuate the system, and charge the specified amount. There's compressor r&r instructions somewhere on the forum, there's an access panel through the wheel well.

If there's a lot of debris in the orifice, might consider replacing the condenser and flushing the rest of the high side lines.

Also, after you recharge the system, you might have to clear that 'low refrigerant' code before the compressor will kick on.

Bought the "compressor kit" from Arizona Mobile Air, along with a condensor. Included the orifice tube drier, compressor (aftermarket), full set of "O" rings. I added a Delco inline filter to the liquid line, I've had very good luck with these in the past.
Removed all the lines, flushed them out with lacquer thinner. Doubt there was over 2oz. oil in the system.

I assume I can disconnect the battery to reset the codes? Would love to get this thing wrapped up and evacuated/recharged this weekend.

Really like Arizona Mobile Air, ordered the parts one morning, got them the next. The parts were all GPD (name brand) Shipped from Marietta, GA.
