    mode door actuator

I have a 2001 Cadillac Deville DHS. I need to replace the mode actuator. I have read how to replace the actuator but there is some confusion on my part. Some say you don't need to remove the duct and to just work around it. That implies that the actuator is outside the duct work. I have taken off the bolster (not necessary) and I can not see any actuator. I have did this twice and looked all over and have seen no actuator. Are they talking about a Deville DHS? I know they mentioned DTS, Seville and have read all the threads I can find. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Re: mode door actuator

The only difference between the DHS and the DTS will be the center console.

I take it you have checked the Tech Tips section and have seen the diagrams that have been posted many, many times?

This should help... The job is by know means easy, but removing the duct does make it more accessible.
