i just replaced it with a new one like 2 days ago. And just filled it with antifreeze and water yesterday, instead of just water. From the videos of coolant system burping on youtube i saw, it looks like itsjust air in the system

    ----------

Also because before i replaced the cap the upper hose was getting sucked flat when the cap was bad, it would be sucked flat and stay like that. untill i opened the system... so i dont really thing its a head gasket

Great news all. The caddy's fine, the fans wernt turning on... And the coolant is mostly water.... so it was boiling. I created a new circut for the fans and now they run constantly and their are no more bubbles in the coolant! i burped it and all. Tomorrow im getting more coolant and refilling it with 50/50

keep in mind that the electric fans do nothing
to help cool at speeds above 30mph -

and with them constantly - you will shorten their life -

Before you do anything else, make sure the hose between your radiator neck and the recovery reservoir is cleared and not plugged.

Running straight water WILL NOT cause it to boil. Water is actually better for cooling, but we are also concerned about lubricating the WP, corrosion resistance and freezing, thus we use coolant. You have other problems than running straight water and no fans.

You should hardly notice the fans running unless you've got AC on. Any air in the system should come out on it's own after it's been warmed up once or twice.

    its not.

    ----------

Well i drove the car around for like 2 hrs and i coulden get it to bubble, or at up like it was with the fans on. The fans were not turning on at all before. From other cars, i have seen that they should turn on at some point at idle, and they were not, nor whial running so it was not pulling any air through the radiator.

As Ranger mentioned, coolant does not raise the boiling point of the water, pressure does.
Water boiling indicates the system is not holding pressure.

The fans are need based and commanded on based on coolant temperature or any time the A/C is on. Idle has nothing to do with it.
