    Re: Ebcm module

Due to removal? If re installed? No. Especially if you had yours repaired. A new one might need to be VIN coded, but I know some are plug & play.
    Re install & try.

(Heard of a Vette not starting)

    Re: Ebcm module

You could have tried one from the salvage yard.

Mine started to trip the lights, pulled the codes. Something about relay shorted or no contact.

Read through some of the threads on it. Decided to pull off one from another vehicle at the yard. Had to make sure had the same options and broadcast code on the unit.

Bolted it on, no more lights.

Inspected the old/original unit, the relay may need resoldering on the pins. Saved it as a spare, will resolder in the future in case my "new" unit acts up.

    Re: Ebcm module

They are a good outfit, but the only part that gives an issue on ebcm is the electrical portion itself.

In reality it's just the relay losing contact with the circuit board.

    Good luck with it

Not true. You can start and drive the car with it removed. It also takes no reprogramming after reinstalled.

Scrapyards around here usually ask a couple hundred bucks for used ebcm's. four times the cost of getting one repaired, and it has a lifetime warranty.

    Re: Ebcm module

Absolutely. The EBCM is not at all related to starting or running. It's strictly braking related.

    Read my post #4.

I think I originally misunderstood you.
Is the car in your possession?
Wouldn't turning the key have answered your question?

Is this an ad for MY AIRBAGS?

Should be as good as new once rebuilt.

OK. His pic just looks a little "Advertising Manager" like.

Removing ECBM will Not prevent your car from starting

The ECBM is just what it says it is, has nothing to do with starting your vehicle

Sounds like u may have a BS Mechanic in your Pockets
