Why replace the tank if it's not leaking?

Yes, the hose going to the top of the tank is the purge line.

Have you done a pressure test yet?

Sorry did not mean tank just the cap. Sometimes its referred to as a surge tank cap sometimes a radiator cap just wanted to be clear with the forward / but all I did was confuse the issue. Mike

As mentioned, replace the tank only if it is leaking. Replace the cap if it does not hold pressure, but for the price, you could just arbitrarily replace it.

NO, if it doesn't hold pressure it would not cause evaporation. It's still sealed tight enough to prevent that. Any coolant loss due to vaporization from a bad cap seal would most likely not even be measurable.

Hey peps I did a pressure test and it appears my radiator is leaking. Top right front side by the peg neck that mounts to the frame. There also some leakage where the metal connects to the side plastic tank top right. So looks like I will replace the radiator. If you'll a can give me a good place to get an radiator and detailed instructions on replacing it. I have done it on a dodge diesel once. When I was done some how it got air locked and started to overheat. Had to bring to a mechanic he quickly did something and all was good. That was 6 years ago. I forgot want he done. So I want to make sure I do right. Thanks all for the help so far.
