    Heater lines

    1994 DeVille 4.9
I did the heater core - not to bad; but different than i found here and the service manual.
Did the water pump awhile back.
Noticed the piece 14 looked swelled and was weeping.

So while i had the coolant out i would address the problem.
What a bear... I get done replacing 14 and the coolant is now pouring out at 14. Bummer:(
So i end up pulling 7 completely out to find a rust hole where the hose clamp go's.

In this picture they call it a tube.

    My question:)
What is part 7 / tube called
    Bonus question:
Where do i get another one?

    Thanks.

    Re: Heater lines

#7 is called the heater pipe outlet. Based on that description I assume it is a "pipe" as opposed to a hose. If that's the case it's probably going to be a dealer only part. Check with Chris (Rippy) over there. >>>>>>>>>>>>

    Re: Heater lines

    Ok
    "heater pipe outlet" that helps.
Yes the pipe has deteriorated at hose connections.
I cleaned it all up and patched it as best i could.
    Hope the patch holds.
Will be/am looking for a replacement
