Re: Just bought myself a headache

    Hello,
I am sorry about the last post, need to remember internet etiquette and be specific about what I'm saying. What I meant is I've never seen coolant in oil before so I don't know what I'm looking for. I have attached a couple photos and would appreciate any feedback car1.jpgcar2.jpg

The fact that your oil is completely opaque is troubling. Even dark old oil is transparent...I would say that there's definitely some moisture in your crankcase. Where from, however, remains a mystery.

This is milky oil. Looks like coolant in it... for me.

That's definitely water(coolant) + oil mix. Not good.

    You have now.

That's rare. HG's usually do not do that. Maybe a ruptures oil cooler in the radiator side tank. DO NOT run the engine in that state.

    I doubt there's an oil cooler, it's a '99 base Deville.

Do you see any lines going into the passenger side radiator side tank?

Yikes. My trans fluid looked like that after my radiator ruptured. A new rad, trans, fixed it right up

I got it to the flat surface of my parking lot...coolant leaked out from somewhere near the front left tire....if I had an oil cooler could someone provide a diagram to where it would be located

The oil cooler would be inside the passengers side radiator end tank.

I'm not sure where the coolant was leaking from specifically, I just know it seemed to be on the left side, any ideas of where coolant could come from in that area, it was a good sized puddle of liquid when I looked.

Cracked radiator end tank maybe. But that's the least of your problems.

At least change the oil yourself... Don't drive with the oil like that.
