    Steering wheel position sensor

Seems I need a new one. Service system stability message pops up, 1287 code. All data says to remove the steering column. Looks like it could be replaced without removing the whole column. Anyone ever done it without removing the whole steering column?

U can do it without taking the column out u just have to cut the boot at the bottom. Only problem is sometimes the boot will overlap itself and the bolt at the bottom of the column will hit the boot and make a slight noise. Its really not that bad to just pull the whole thing out. Also dont pull the pin out of the sensor till u get it locked in place on the column.
