Re: code rim c0658
Test the ELC system ............ pop the trunk, turn the Key: ON. After about 6 seconds do you hear the compressor do its preload/checkout for a second or two ?? OK ?? Good - now you and 2 assistants sit on the open trunk lip. Does the compressor again come on and level the car? OK - Now all hop off and you listen for escaping air in the RR wheelwell. if this all checks out, then the system should be OK.
If not, time to start checking the level sensor connector rod(s), the compressor electrical connectors, relay, fuse(s), air lines, shock bladders.

It does it's pretest ill check if its inflating with a load. The rod is connected and i used electronic contact cleaner and dilectric grease on its connector. Air lines and dryer and monroe shocks are new. Compressor is newer from a 2005 about 60k on it.

That's what I was thinking too. So far I've been able to check everything except the compressor plug itself. I did forget when my front rotors were installed 2 weeks ago it was only lifted by a floor jack and turned on to turn the wheel.
