94 Deville CV Joint possible issue

While driving home last night, I started hearing this loud clicking noise by the driver side front wheel. It does this regardless if Im turning or going straight. I have put the car up on jacks and took the wheel off. I wanted to inspect the CV joint and the boots look fine. I had both front tires off the ground and decided to put the car in drive and try to see if I could pinpoint the issue. When I revved up the engine with car in drive I could clearly hear this clicking sound. I tuned the car off and started looking around and noticed some fluid leaking out of the point where the CV meets the transmission. Its not grease, more like a fluid. My question is, is this more than a CV joint? Is something wrong in the transmission?

This is what the fluid looked like coming out of the cv joint.

Sounds more like a trans seal. #14 maybe

It's not 14, that not even on the same side as the axles. It's more likely number 4. It wouldn't be cv joint grease coming out of the tranny, cv joint grease would come from the ends of the boot. So it has to be tranny fluid.

Good point. #14 is a servo band seal. #4 isn't listed for some reason.

    EDIT:
I see it is included with #6.
