    2000 Deville Radiator Replacement

    I am looking to replace my radiator in my 2000 base Deville. I have come to the realization that the replacement radiator comes in two different sizes. Is the thickness 1" or 1.25" for the OEM size? Here is the link with the two different choices. I do not want to have a cooling issue with the new radiator. I am also wondering if the $120 radiator was the same quality as the $175 Delphi or if its all about name?

    I saw OEM one costs almost $400

    Anyone tried a aftermarket replacement radiator? I really do not want to have to replace the radiator with OEM.

    Good question because aftermarket one costs around $100 + free shipping

    Radiators are not rocket science. I do not see why an aftermarket radiator would be a problem as long as it meets factory spec's.

    About the only problem I've ever had with aftermarket rads is fitting sizes for hard line or mount holes not lining up. If my $100 rad leaks 4 times in next 5 years still money ahead.

    I put an aftemakert radiator on my 06 dts 2 years ago and is still work find look for the tyc brand they are decent.

    I just replaced the radiator with a Spectra brand. I am extremely happy with the performance, works just as well as the OEM original it replaced. The replacement was a little thicker than the original but did not hinder any performance of the radiator. Thanks for all the advice everyone.

    I am going to replace radiator on a 02 deville. Any suggestions on which brand or want online company to get it from. And I would really love a break down on the best way to replace it. I will do it myself. Thanks
