Nice post. My caddy has this on the driver's side. Always wondered what it was from and has always drove me nuts. Will give this a try now that it's getting warmer.

Are you talking about these screws? And this Z-shape thing has been bent? I have to bent it back?

Also I found out it is a big deal to remove moldings. They have adhesive which has to be removed and reapplied for installation. Do I really have go thru complete molding removal and adhesive crap?

Yeah those are it. I dont see no Z shape but that area is bent that's what's causing the fender to be curved out like that so you gotta straighten out the bottom of the fender where the screws are and where the fender screws into the body that's where the strength comes in.

I did not remove moldings. This is actually a simple job. In the oic above, where the hole are that the screws (listed as 3) go through, I'd be willing to bet that it is bent either towards the inside of the car or outside. Thats what causes the lower part of the fender door seam to be off.

How didn't you remove the molding? Manual says w/o molding removal you can't get to those screws. Btw, should I unscrew them? Like this: unscrew, bent it back in the place (having no idea how it is suppose to look like), screw them back, done. Correct?

I did not unscrew them. Both the lip that the screws go through and the lip that it attaches to must be bent together, perpindicular to the ground.

Red line creates Z-shape I told earlier. I put also number on each part so you can easily tell me which you are talking about. So, which part (number) should be perpindicular to the ground?
