    Unhappy Bose stereo blues !

Hi everyone, I am trying to replace the Bose stereo system in my wife's 1989 Fleetwood FWD. I am getting mixed info on wiring adapters/ bypasses etc, I have 2 rear deck speakers, 2 in dash speakers,an am/fm receiver, mounting in dash kit etc, but am told i cant use the existing speaker wires because they run to the Bose amps before the speakers.how do I wire my speakers with the Bose speaker/amp assemblies removed. I have harness's for adapting the receiver and stock wiring together and what is supposed to adapt the speakers old to new but I think they are for stock speakers not the Bose speakers.

    please help me
    Thanks Greg

    Re: Bose stereo blues !

I used this guy (his name is Dennis) to help me install a Kenwood radio into a 2004 Corvette that had a Bose system. He sold me the radio and all necessary wiring adapters that allowed me to retain the Bose speakers. As far as I know, Dennis only does automotive stereo. He really knows his stuff, and has helped many other guys at the Corvette Forum. I'm not sure if he does much Cadillac work, but I will bet he can help you.

Are you trying to add an amp, or just change the head unit?
