    just google "gm airbag removal tool", I found four or five of them, they're not that expensive either.

    "With right tools you can do everything" - that's or sure! Thank you, guys! I'm looking forward changing my st wheel for brand new OEM with new buttons. Mine is worn and buttons has been chipped up.. Future project.. Thanks!

    GM must change the air bag removal method every year. I've pulled several and have never used that tool. What years is that tool supposedly for?

    you can use a couple flat-blade screwdrivers -
    but this tool makes it a snap to remove the air bag -
